Salary: £43,727 – £49,357 per year
The radiology department at Jersey General Hospital has been developing and expanding its interventional service over the past 10 years. As a result a new role has opened up for a fulltime staff nurse to come and join the team.
Working hours are 0800-1600hrs Monday – Friday.
You will be working closely within a small team, admitting and caring for patients before, during and post invasive procedures, including pre-assessment, scrubbing, circulating and recovery.
Procedures are mainly carried out under local anaesthetic however, sometimes patients require sedation or a general anaesthetic.
In Jersey we provide a wide range of procedures including:
- Interventional fluoroscopic radiology – angiogram/angioplasty, embolization, stenting and
hysterosalpingogram (HSG), nephrostomies, thrombolysis and thrombectomy, portacaths and PICC lines etc.
- Interventional Ultrasound – biopsy, drainage, musculoskeletal injections etc.
